As Dr. Sevgi Kurt Private Practice, acting as the Data Controller, we attach great importance to the protection of personal data belonging to our patients, employees, and other individuals we interact with, within the framework of the principles of superior service quality, respect for individual rights, transparency, and honesty, and in accordance with the regulations set forth by the Law on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK).

Great importance is attached to patient privacy and the careful processing and preservation of all kinds of personal data belonging to our patients. This policy has been regulated to protect and process the personal data of our patients, companions, visitors, and employees of the institutions we cooperate with, within the framework of the basic principles in the legislation.

Identity of the Data Controller In the context of KVKK, our practice holds the title of Data Controller and is registered with the VERBIS system.

Purpose of Processing Personal Data Your personal data, including special categories of personal data (health data), collected verbally, in writing, or digitally via our website, online services, and similar channels, depending on the health services provided, are processed for the following purposes:

  • Execution of medical diagnosis, treatment, and care services,

  • Protection of public health,

  • Planning and management of preventive medicine health services and financing,

  • Informing our patients about appointments,

  • Planning and managing internal procedures,

  • Performing analysis to improve health services,

  • Fulfilling risk management and quality improvement activities,

  • Conducting research,

  • Fulfilling legal and regulatory requirements,

  • Invoicing for our services,

  • Confirming your identity,

  • Sharing information requested by private insurance companies within the scope of financing health services,

  • Answering all your questions and complaints regarding our health services,

  • Taking all necessary technical and administrative measures within the scope of data security.

Transfer of Personal Data Your personal data may be shared with the Ministry of Health and its sub-units, private insurance companies, Social Security Institution (SGK), General Directorate of Security, laboratories we cooperate with for medical diagnosis (domestic or abroad), medical centers, your authorized representatives, and our suppliers/consultants, strictly within the framework of the personal data processing conditions and purposes specified in Articles 8 and 9 of the Law.

Rights of the Data Subject By applying to our practice, you have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed, request information if processed, request correction of incomplete or incorrect processing, request deletion or destruction of your personal data, and object to the occurrence of a result against you by analyzing the processed data exclusively through automated systems.

Security Measures Our practice takes necessary technical and administrative measures to ensure the appropriate level of security to prevent unlawful processing of and access to personal data.
